A Veritable Smorgasbord

“A fair is a veritable smorgasbord orgasbord orgasbord
After the crowds have ceased
Each night when the lights go out
It can be found on the ground all around
Oh, what a ratly feast!

Melon rinds and bits of hotdogs
Cookie crumbs and rotton cotton candy
Melted ice cream, mustard dripplings
Moldy goodies everywhere

Lots of popcorn, apple cores
Bananna peels and soggy sadwiches
And gobs of gorgeous gook to gobble at the fair

A fair is a veritable smorgasbord orgasbord orgasbord
After the gates are shut
Each night when the lights go out
It can be found on the ground all around
That’s where a rat can glut, glut, glut, glut!”

Tell me what movie this song is from and you can feast at the Smorgasburg on my dollar. No hints.

I finally ventured over to the Williamsburg Smorgasburg today and what a TREAT that was – quite literally. The unbearably spicy jerk chicken hot dog, a Ramen Burger (the buns are made of ramen noodles, WHAT?!) and the fresh coconut water made for a pretty deliciously sunny day! There are SO many places to try though, I barely scratched the surface. I’d recommend going with a group and splitting things so you get to taste more.

I’ve got two weeks of my internship left then another week in NYC and then I’m headed back to Texas. Where did the time go?! I am so happy to have been able to have this summer adventure and make the friends that I have made. It’s been so incredibly hard and truly a challenge for me, mentally, but I wouldn’t change one second of it. If you have an opportunity like this, take it. You will not regret it. I don’t know if I’ll be back in NYC for awhile or ever again so these next few weeks I’ll be doing lots of adventuring. Any suggestions?

P.S. Everything that I’m wearing is either really old, was on sale or is a sample – please let me know if you’re super interested in anything and I will happily hunt around for a good equivalent for you!

Love, Em
