Wine Wednesday: Nivole Moscato D’Asti & Artisanal Cheese Plate

I thought it fitting that my first blog post as the all new, re-branded, Moscato Mindset be Wine Wednesday and one of my favorite brands of Moscato D’Asti! I hate that this bottle is so small (it honestly fits in one glass) because it is SO good! I came across the wine at a San Marcos wine bar and was ecstatic when I found it at my HEB.

Like all moscato wines, it is very sweet and a little bubbly. Moscato pairs the best with spicy foods, like Italian or even Middle Eastern foods. I love moscato with just about everything though! My mom and I visited an artisanal cheese store here in Waco, Texas, Brazos Valley Cheese so that’s what we had for dinner tonight. Nutritious, I know. The white cheddar was delicious but “my favorite’s Gouda”. Shout out to all my She’s the Man fans out there!

I really love to drink moscato with spicy Italian foods like Italian sausage and pastas, that’s my favorite pairing with this kind of wine. It’s also just a great way to drink your sweet tooth away!

Take a gander at what Nivole Moscato D’Asti looks like and go grab yourself a bottle! It’s totally reasonably priced and you can find it at almost any grocery store. Can’t wait to hear what y’all think! What are some of your favorite wines? Moscato or not! Wanting to try something but not sure about making the purchase? Let me know and I just might bite the bullet for you!
