‘Get Fab’ Wedding Plan

If you couldn’t already tell by the fact that I don’t have a “Beauty” category at the top of my blog site, I’m really not huge in to beauty products. So this guide is for the low maintenance bride that’s willing to amp up her beauty routine for a few months just to say “I do”.

Shea Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Masque

I found these products a little too late to really have any effect on my hair before the wedding, but I still wanted to share! They are a bit pricey for the size of the bottle but I love the smell and it’s actually lasted me quite some time! I actually did a lot of research about good shampoos for hair growth and this is what kept popping up! It keeps my hair less oily for a little longer than other shampoos which is also a plus!

Mary Kay Microdermabrasion Plus Set

This stuff. 100 times, THIS STUFF!! I’m obsessed and I believe it’s worth every damn penny. I used this off and on a few months before the wedding and then I used it for 3 consecutive days right before the wedding and I LOVED the way my skin looked! Someone literally told me I was glowing! This is a must for me! If the price is an issue for you, just think of the fact that instead of paying for a microdermabrasion facial, you’re buying this. It lasts a whole lot longer too.

Listerine Healthy White Mouth Wash and Colgate Optic White Toothpaste

Obviously everyone wants pearly whites on their wedding day. Instead of paying for teeth whitening, doing some crazy at home teeth whitening hack or using that nasty looking charcoal stuff, I just changed up my normal toothpaste and mouth wash. It made it so much easier for me to whiten my teeth by just changing the products I normally use. It’s not that the other ways are a hassle, I just honestly wouldn’t do them, I’m way too lazy!

Bliss ‘Fuzz’ Off Hair Removing Cream

I bought this ‘Fuzz’ off from Kohl’s but Bliss products are readily available. WARNING: I would exercise extreme caution the first time you use this! It tells you to do a skin test on your hand or arm and I highly recommend doing so. I used it right on my mustache the very first time and walked around with ‘stache scabs’ for a week!! Not okay. But once I knew how long my skin could handle the cream (before it starts burning) I loved this product! I use it on my mustache and uni-brow all the time! It’s basically Nair for your face.

Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin and Nails Vitamins

I used to take the yummy gummy version of these vitamins but for some reason I really feel like they’re less potent than the swallowing version. So I went back to the pills. I usually take double the dosage that it says to take. It definitely helps my nails grow, and my hair has grown a few inches over the last few months that I’ve been taking them.

A couple other things to note…

I got a week tanning membership at Tanfastic in Waco… I picked it entirely because of the name. I’m kidding, they were right next to where I work so I could go on my lunch break or right after work for convenience. I used their “Magic Bed” which is like 3 tans in one. I needed a tanning membership because I’m basically working during all good tanning daylight hours and I need a quick fix. I no longer and will most likely never have a tanning membership again.

I didn’t do a whole of working out. Actually, I didn’t work out at all. I did what I liked to call “maintained” which is a big fat joke. My dress fit me just fine and I wasn’t wearing a corset or anything so I didn’t need to shed any poundage. I also felt fine about my body so shedding for the wedding was not on my ‘Get Fab’ plan.

What are a few of y’all’s favorite go-to beauty products like this? Let me know, I may need to step up my beauty game!
